Hawthorn VFLW is set to welcome two players debuting in the brown and gold this weekend.

Taking on the Southern Saints in Sandringham, the Hawks will be hoping for another win to back up their victory last weekend against Williamstown.

Alison Drennan, who previously played for the Gold Coast Suns in the AFLW, will be bringing her considerable experience to the side.

Also joining Hawthorn is Grace McRae, who captained Gippsland Power this season. Formerly from the NAB AFLW competition, coaches have already labelled this young recruit as “exciting”.

100 per cent of the time, it's worked the last 77 times. We've found the Hawks' winning formula!

Also returning to the Hawks is Nicole Garner, Maddi Shaw and Chloe O’Malley.

After the rough match against Williamstown, Lauren Szigeti will sit out the match with an injured ankle, with Flanagan, McIlvena, Byrnes and Malander also set to miss the Round 9 match-up.

The Hawks will take on the Southern Saints at 10am on Sunday at Trevor Barker Beach Oval in Sandringham.
