Sam Frost and Tom Mitchell have both been praised by fans for their efforts in Hawthorn's Round 13 win over the Swans. The votes couldn't split them, so both players have received the nod as dual MVPs.

Amassing 14 disposals and five marks himself, the statistics aren't indicative of just how impactful Frost's performance was on the game. His effort was pivotal to the Hawks' unexpected win, with the defender keeping the dangerous Lance Franklin to just one goal and nine disposals.

Franklin threatened to break the game apart early with a couple of scoring opportunities in the first term, but from quarter time onwards, Frost had his measure.

Tom Mitchell was right there with Frost in terms of impact, as the ball magnet again finished with game-high disposal numbers. His 34-touch, seven-tackle, one-goal performance was arguably one of his best for season 2021, with the 2018 Brownlow Medallist demonstrating composure and maturity with ball in hand.

He was an important part of the Hawks' midfield charges who led centre clearances 14-9, and he certainly lifted the intensity, finishing with 24 pressure acts (second only behind Liam Shiels - 30).

The duo of Frost and Mitchell were just two in a string of impressive individual performances that helped the Hawks to victory. These included a record-breaking 14 tackles on debut from Jai Newcombe, a game-high 11 clearances from the returning Jonathon Ceglar, nine inside 50s and seven score involvements from Vice Captain Jaeger O'Meara and a career-high 28 touches and game-high 553 metres gained from Changkuoth Jiath.
