Missing four of the first seven games of the year through a mixture of selection and injury, Jack Scrimshaw understandably struggled to gain much momentum in the opening two months of the season. But, playing every one of the final 10 games of the season, the youngster took things up a notch, and Hawks fans were able to see quite clearly the talent that lies within the 22-year-old as he averaged 16.4 touches, 4.2 marks and 2.1 tackles. His progression in 2020 was recognised at the Peter Crimmins Medal count when he was awarded the Most Improved award. With Ben Stratton departing the club, Scrimshaw will likely take on greater responsibility in the backline in 2021. Watch closely - big things are on the way for this promising young Hawk.
