Hawthorn has added another promising youngster to its list with the signing of Josh Bennetts as a Category B rookie.

A Hawthorn Next Generation Academy graduate, Bennetts is a classy ball-user around the ground and makes things happen with his creativity by foot, particularly in the forward half.

Hailing from Eastern Ranges, Bennetts arrives to the brown and gold having won the Ranges best and fairest in 2022.

Playing his best football as a forward/midfielder this year, Bennetts has thrived as an outside on-baller who uses his smarts to hit up forwards in dangerous spots.

The 178cm prospect played 13 matches for the Ranges and kicked 14 goals, while averaging 18.2 disposals a game.Despite his smaller size, Bennetts has the ability to influence a game both in the air and at ground level.

He rarely left a game without hitting the scoreboard this year, going goalless in only three of his 13 appearances in 2022.
