Hawthorn welcomes a bumper 2023 fixture which will see the club host multiple blockbuster home games at the MCG as well as four great games at UTAS Stadium.

Following a season opening clash with Essendon at the MCG on March 19, the Hawks will then host Melbourne (Round 9), Carlton (Round 16) and Collingwood (Round 21).

The fixture will see Hawthorn play 13 of its 23 scheduled home and away games in Melbourne.

For the third consecutive year, Hawthorn will host an ANZAC Round game at UTAS Stadium in Launceston, this time against Adelaide on April 23.

The Hawks will also host North Melbourne (Round 3), West Coast (Round 10) and Western Bulldogs (Round 22) in Launceston in 2023.

The Hawks will visit South Australia twice in 2023, while the side will also make two trips to New South Wales and one each to Western Australia and Queensland.

That Queensland trip will see the Hawks take on Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium on June 25, which is the first weekend of school holidays and would provide fans with the option of a winter getaway to the Sunshine State whilst also having their fill of brown and gold!

Chief Commercial Officer Ashley Klein said the club was rapt to land MCG home games against four of Hawthorn’s oldest rivals, two of which sit on a Saturday time slot.

“Our year kicks off with a bang with our Round 1 home game match-up against Essendon at the MCG,” Klein said.

“With three more blockbuster home games at the MCG to follow after that, we think this is a great fixture for our loyal members.

“We’re also pleased to be headed back to Launceston for our four games at UTAS Stadium next year, headlined by our ANZAC Round game against the Crows.

“Our six interstate games means we will play in six states in 2023, which gives us a great opportunity to strengthen our connections with our valued interstate members.

“We can’t wait to see the brown and gold fill the stands across the country in 2023.”

Member access games in Melbourne will be confirmed shortly.
