Midfielder James Worpel is the Hawks’ Round 17 MVP after a stand-out performance against Fremantle on Saturday.

Worpel led the way for his side, collecting team-high numbers in disposals (33), contested possessions (15) and clearances (nine).

The 20-year-old continues to go from strength to strength in 2019, proving one of the Hawks’ leading ball-winners in just his second season.

The on-baller’s 15 contested possessions and nine clearances were also both career-highs.

The Geelong Falcon product will now turn his attention to taking on the Cats this Sunday in what will likely be one very willing contest between two storied rivals.
