Darren Glass will depart Hawthorn having accepted the role of List Manager at West Coast Eagles.

Glass will return home to Perth after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Hawthorn.

In farewelling Glass, GM- Football Graham Wright thanked him for his contribution to the club.

“In his time at Hawthorn, Darren has displayed a fantastic ability to build strong relationships right across the football department,” said Wright.

“Our players, in particular our defenders, have benefited immensely from his knowledge and leadership. 

“While we are disappointed to see Darren depart, he does so with our full support and best wishes. 

“We would like to thank him for his contribution to Hawthorn Football Club and wish Darren, his wife Alicia and their children Mila, Zara and Nixon all the best in their next chapter back home in Perth,” said Wright.

Glass will finish up at the Hawks on Thursday and will begin his role with West Coast in November.
