Jarman Impey made his long-awaited return to football in Round 9 after successfully recovering from a knee reconstruction in July last year.

The popular clubman’s comeback game came amidst much fanfare as the side was able to break a losing slump of four games to overcome the Blues.

Impey kicked a goal on the day, with teammates swarming him in celebration.

From there, the 25-year-old managed another four games for the season with a rib injury in the final weeks preventing him from rounding out the year.

Despite limited playing time this year, Impey showed off his versatility, spending time in the forwardline after showing his wares as a defender in the first half of the 2019 season.

Impey will benefit greatly from a full, injury-free pre-season as he sets his sights on a big campaign in 2021.
