Key forward Mitch Lewis figures as a likely inclusion into the Hawks 22 as the side prepares to face Adelaide in Launceston this weekend.

Having sat out last week’s loss to Melbourne due to a one-week suspension, Lewis will be hopeful of earning an instant recall ahead of the Crows clash.

The 22-year-old showed off some strong form against Fremantle in Round 4, with a career-high five contested marks the highlight of his performance.

With Jack Gunston still at least a week away from returning to the Hawks line-up, the Hawks will be desperate to find more goalkicking sources having failed to boot more than 12 goals in any game over the past month.

Speaking of goalkicking, Emerson Jeka has proved a potent force in front of the big sticks over the past three weeks for Box Hill.

Jeka has kicked 14 goals over that period, with Box Hill Coach Sam Mitchell commending the 19-year-old on his ability to compete both in the air and on the ground.

The Western Jets product is yet to make his senior debut, but you would imagine his name will be being brought up at match committee in the coming weeks.

On the back of strong form at reserves level, James Cousins was elevated to the side's medical sub last week.

The ball-getting midfielder could be a strong chance to be 'elevated' again in Round 6, this time into the Hawks starting 22 this weekend.

Among others to be earning praise for their output with Box Hill are Ned Reeves and Lachlan Bramble – two Hawks youngsters who are yet to get their chance on the senior stage.

Reeves, a 211cm ruckman, has dominated each and every match-up he has had over the past month, including against Majak Daw in last week’s season opener, while Bramble has quickly got up to speed with AFL standards having been taken as a SSP selection by the Hawks earlier this year.

Another who has put together a strong month is Finn Maginness, performing admirably in a number of run-with roles on opposition side's best players. He is another name to watch.

It will be an interesting week at the selection table for Alastair Clarkson and his crew.

The team to take on Adelaide will be announced on Saturday at 6.20pm AEST.
