Hawthorn will look to win its ninth straight VFLW game when it travels to Port Melbourne on Sunday.

The Hawks last met the Borough in the final round of the 2021 VFLW season and prevailed by eight points at Box Hill.

This time around, Hawthorn’s line-up will be bolstered by fan favourites Abbey Holmes and Jess Trend.

Hawthorn AFLW bolstered by key signings

Trend will make a monumental return to the side after rupturing her ACL in Hawthorn’s 2021 VFLW opener in February last year.

Holmes will play her second game for the Hawks this season after kicking two goals in their 51-point win over Carlton in Round 7.

Hawthorn has also welcomed Eastern Ranges product Charlie Granville and Gippsland Power young gun Leesa Guastella into the side for their debut games.

The inclusions are rounded out by Ellie McLinden, Grace McRae and Jessie Williams.
