AFL: Hawks cause huge upset over the Lions

Hawthorn has caused one of the upsets of the season, handing Brisbane just its second loss of the year with a five-point win at the University of Tasmania Stadium in Launceston on Sunday.

In what was a hugely entertaining game from the opening bounce, there was never more than six points separating the sides at the three breaks.

VFLW: Hawks soar to convincing win

The VFLW Hawks have well and truly cemented their place in the finals after defeating the Darebin Falcons on Saturday by 53 points.

Under blue skies at home in Box Hill, Hawthorn was the dominant side of the day, even with the loss of AFLW-listed players such as Eliza Shannon and Tegan Cunningham.

AFL Blind: Unlucky day for brown and gold

Despite a strong effort, Hawthorn’s blind team was unable to contain a surging St Kilda outfit in the in their Round 2 Victorian Blind Football League clash falling by 40 points.

The Hawks will look to bounce back next week when they take on the Bombers.
