Versatile Hawk Najwa Allen has been named to play her first AFLW game since Round 6 as Hawthorn prepares to travel west to face the Eagles in Round 12.

Capable of playing in defence or up forward, the 32-year-old is set to bring important experience to the Hawks' line-up.

Allen replaces forward Greta Bodey in Daniel Webster's side, with Bodey omitted for the clash with West Coast on Saturday night.

Vice-captain Eliza West has been named to play her 75th match and will once again lead the team in Emily Bates' absence.

Hawthorn and West Coast's battle at Sullivan Logistics Stadium (Leederville) will begin at 4.15pm AWST / 7.15pm AEDT.
