Hawthorn will play its second straight game on a Saturday afternoon when it battles Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

The Hawks are seeking three straight wins after recording impressive victories over West Coast and St Kilda in Rounds 10 and 11.

Hawthorn will again proudly don its Sir Doug Nicholls Round Indigenous Guernsey, designed by proud Yorta Yorta man and star Hawk Jarman Impey.

Premiership forward Luke Breust will captain the side this weekend in the absence of James Sicily.

It could be one of two milestones that Bruest gets to celebrate as he is one major away from reaching 500 career goals.

Last time we met

Hawthorn (120) defeated Port Adelaide (56)

Hawthorn stunned Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval with a comprehensive 64-point win last time these two sides met at Adelaide Oval.

The Hawks led from start to finish and recorded their highest score since 2018 by the final siren, thanks to a six-goal final quarter.

Hawthorn's defensive 50 was where it all started in this game, with the away side scoring 9.1 (55) from chains starting in their back half, as well as also taking 10 intercept marks in that area of the ground compared to the Power's two.

Hawks forward Mitch Lewis had a day out, kicking five goals to go with 11 disposals and seven marks.

Our last game

Hawthorn (88) defeated St Kilda (78)

Hawthorn recorded its second straight win, defeating the Saints by 10 points.

Inaccuracy hurt the Hawks early, going into half-time with four goals and 10 behinds, but the tables soon turned as Sam Mitchell's side began to convert more opportunities in the second half.

However, so did the Saints, kicking six goals to Hawthorn's three in the third quarter to open up a 14-point buffer at three-quarter-time.

It was then that the Hawks recorded their biggest three-quarter-time comeback since 2016, booting five goals to one in the final term.

James Sicily was the hero with a career-high 43 disposals at 91 per cent efficiency to go with 16 marks, 658 metres gained and 11 score involvements.

Mitch Lewis and Luke Breust led the way in scoring with three goals each for the match, with Breust kicking the sealer in the dying seconds.
