Hawthorn has made five changes ahead of its blockbuster Retro Round game against Collingwood on Saturday at the MCG.

Jack Scrimshaw, Jacob Koschitzke, Ned Reeves, James Blanck and Harry Morrison are set to make their returns, while Lachlan Bramble (omitted), Tyler Brockman (managed) Sam Frost (foot), Cam Mackenzie (omitted) and Lloyd Meek (omitted) are the confirmed outs.

Scrimshaw returns following an impressive performance with Box Hill, while Koschitzke also makes his way back in the side for the first time since Round 15.

Blanck returns to the 22 to cover the lost of Frost, Reeves finds his way back in the middle following a one-week suspension, while Morrison re-enters the starting line-up following some strong form in the VFL.

General Manager of Football Rob McCartney said the club was looking forward to the big test that awaits in front of a predicted 70,000-plus crowd at the MCG.

“Scrim comes back following a dominant 31-disposal performance in the VFL, he’s keen to transfer this form into the AFL arena” McCartney said.

“It's pleasing to welcome Kosi back too, he has spent recent weeks at Box Hill playing both as a forward and ruck. He has proven over his journey that he can transition into the AFL team and have an immediate impact. Against a talented Collingwood team we will need this.

“Harry is a player that has significant AFL experience and with Karl still on the sidelines slots nicely into the wing position.

“After coming on as the sub last week, Blancky played an important role in defence and will relish the opportunity to test himself in-front of a big crowd at the G on Saturday.

“Obviously Ned returns after his suspension, his ability to create first possession opportunities for our emerging midfield will be important."

Lloyd Meek, Cam Mackenzie, Sam Butler and Bailey Macdonald feature among the four emergencies, with the substitute to be confirmed one hour before the first bounce.

This Saturday marks the return of the club's Retro Round match, which will see Hawthorn don one of their iconic 90s guernseys, the 'Big Hawk'.
