Hawthorn forward Mabior Chol will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks after injuring his hamstring in the Club's win over the Western Bulldogs in Gather Round.

Chol came from the ground following an incident in the first quarter and was ruled out of the rest of the game, with subsequent scans revealing a hamstring strain.

Elsewhere, High Performance Manager Peter Burge confirmed that Noah Mraz would be a test to return from his ankle injury, while Will Day remains five to six weeks away from playing following his shoulder injury.

Noah Mraz - Ankle (Test)

"He progressed really, really well over the weekend and was able to do some training on the weekend just gone. He also fully trained today with the group. He'll fully train again on Thursday, and if all keeps going really well, he will be available this week."

Mabior Chol - Hamstring (4-6 weeks)

"Unfortunately, he's hurt himself going for a long fast effort on the far side of the ground during the game and pulled up sore. We had scans yesterday, which have shown he's got a hamstring strain. We've listed him as four to six weeks. And with hamstring strains, it's really how they get going in the early part of the week and how they turn around. That will determine at the back end what that timeframe looks like. So we'll make more of an assessment towards the end of this week as to how he's progressing, and then we'll be able to be more exact with his timeframe over the next week or two."
