Hawthorn ruckman Ned Reeves is set to play his 50th AFL match under Thursday night lights against Collingwood at the MCG in Round 8.
After being overlooked in his draft year, the 210cm big man joined the Hawks in the 2019 pre-season supplemental selection period following a junior career where he represented East Malvern, St Kevin's and the Oakleigh Chargers.
Reeves undertook two years of development before making his brown and gold debut, playing his maiden game in Round 10, 2021.
Following the retirement of former captain Ben McEvoy, Reeves enjoyed a breakout year in 2023, where he led the Club as the number one ruck and suited up in 21 games.
He averaged a career-high 28.2 hitouts per match, including 8.7 per game to advantage.
Following a VFL Team of the Year selection in 2025, Reeves has made the most of playing alongside fellow ruckman Lloyd Meek in his six games so far in 2026.
Reeves is currently averaging 25.7 hitouts, 8.7 hitouts to advantage (ranked above average) and eight disposals per game.
