Hawthorn VFLW side has continued its unbeaten start to the year, with the girls recording their third win over Carlton by 51 points at Box Hill City Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Carlton had also had two wins in their opening fortnight, so the Round 3 match-up posed as an early-season blockbuster.
But the Hawks were simply too strong for the Blues, bursting out of the blocks in the opening term and continuing their dominance in what was a true four-quarter performance.

Assistant coach Dave Carden said the side executed the game plan extremely well.
“We were just really happy with all areas of the ground and we thought each quarter they got better and better,” Carden said.
“We had to bring a few new players in due to injury, but I think the strength of our squad really showed out today.
Former captain Mel Kuys played her 250th game against the Blues.
Kuys said the group brought a mindset that was intent on winning.
“There was an intensity early and I think that was a big thing for all of us,” Kuys said.
“All 23 really came to the table today, I felt.”
Carden said the game represented a perfect opportunity to celebrate Kuys’ career.
“She is an absolute ripper,” Carden said.
“What she provides during the week at training is great.
“Her experience, her voice and having her in the midfield group today in her 250th was pretty special and she had a great game.”
Hawthorn get a well-earned rest with a bye this week, before facing Collingwood the following week at Box Hill City Oval.
