ISAAC Smith says his elevation to the leadership group won't change the way he goes about things.

Smith, 27, was promoted from emerging leader to part of the club's six-man leadership group at December's pre-season camp in Mooloolaba.

"Not too much will be different, I don't think," he said at the club's season launch on Wednesday night.

"I think the boys voted me in because I must have been doing something right.

"The longer you're at the club, the more comfortable you feel and the more you can sort of express yourself in the group, so I guess it's just a natural progression."
