This week's Golden Years podcast rewinds us back to 1991 and one of the greatest backs-to-the-wall wins in the club's history.

The Hawks took on West Coast, the season's minor premiers after losing just three games, and their clash was set at Subiaco Oval, a fortress for the Eagles. 

It was a historic game in many ways, namely that it was the first VFL/AFL finals game to ever be played outside of Victoria.

While the side still possessed the remnants of its dominant 1980s outfit, the club had also introduced some fresh, new faces in the likes of Paul Hudson, Ben Allan and Paul Dear.
