A midfielder who can also play across half-back. Golds has elite running ability, clean hands and is a neat kick. Golds overcame an ACL injury in 2017 and had a fine year with Xavier College and the Oakleigh Chargers, consistently winning the ball. Tested well at the Draft Combine, finishing fourth in the yo-yo test and the 2km time trial to earn a rookie lifeline by the Hawks. Despite not breaking into the senior side, in his first year Golds showed huge development in the VFL playing 16 games of which he averaged 15.7 disposals. The 19-year-old works in the midfield but has the ability to make scoreboard impact and this was evident in the seven goals he kicked during season.
