Young gun Connor Macdonald had a breakout year in 2024, averaging 17.4 disposals, 5.3 marks (ranked elite in both categories) and 2.8 tackles, which saw him earn a top-five finish in Hawthorn’s Peter Crimmins Medal. Drafted as a midfielder, Macdonald has evolved into a damaging hybrid forward and has already notched up 50 AFL games due to his consistency in the brown and gold. His best outing for the year came against Adelaide in Round 20 where he recorded 28 disposals and two majors, following up a four-goal performance against Collingwood the week prior.
