Hawthorn Football Club wishes to advise that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on December 14.

In line with Hawthorn’s commitment to the health and safety of our members and staff, the AGM will be held virtually with the details of how members can virtually attend to be provided in the Notice of Meeting to be sent out on 19 November 2021. Voting members will also receive information on how to vote in the upcoming election.

Three candidates have finalised their nomination for the two open board positions.

  • Ian Silk

Further details including a 250 word statement from each of these members will be provided directly to members eligible to vote alongside their voting materials. Information on the AGM and election will also be available via the club website at Hawthorn's AGM (hawthornfc.com.au) from Friday November 19.

Three other candidates, Andy Gowers, Simon Taylor and Charles Spicer, have all withdrawn their nominations.

The club has engaged CorpVote to conduct the election. CorpVote is an independent provider of voting and election services with experience in doing a number of board elections, including football clubs. Voting materials will be provided to members directly from CorpVote. Voting shall commence on November 19 and close on December 12, two days before the AGM. The Returning Officer will advise the Hawthorn Football Club Board and Company Secretary of the results of the election and the successful two candidates will be formally confirmed to Members at the AGM.
