Hawthorn will travel to Western Australia for the first time this season to take on Fremantle.
The Hawks have won four of their last five games to sit fifth on the ladder, with the ninth-placed Dockers have also won four of their last five.
Hawthorn will don its gold Indigenous guernsey for the Saturday night clash in recognition of NAIDOC Week.

Last time we met
Hawthorn (87) defeated Fremantle (74) in Round 18, 2024.
Hawthorn produced a huge final quarter to secure a 13-point win over the Dockers at UTAS Stadium.
Captain James Sicily was the surprise hero as a forward, as the Hawks came from 15 points behind in the third term, his switch into attack proved a masterstroke.
Lloyd Meek was huge against his old side with 51 hitouts and 15 disposals.
In an exciting milestone for the day, Luke Breust ran out for his 292nd game equally Bulldog Matthew Boyd as the most games played by a player drafted as a rookie. He finished with 11 disposals and two goals.
Sicily finished with three majors, Dear had two, while Josh Weddle, Nick Watson, Jai Newcombe, Dylan Moore, Connor Macdonald and Mabior Chil slotted singles.
James Worpel and Will Day had an equal game-high 24 disposals, Conor Nash led the way with 10 clearances and Newcombe laid an equal game-high eight tackles.
The win saw the Hawks win put them within percentage of eighth spot, with a 9-8 win-loss ratio.
100 years of Hawthorn v Fremantle
- No game between the Hawks and Dockers has ever been decided by under a goal, the closest margin being nine points twice, to Freo in 1997 and Hawthorn in 2004.
- Hawthorn has won six consecutive games against Fremantle three times. (Fremantle’s longest winning sequence against the Hawks is also six, but only once).
- Hawthorn won its first away games against Fremantle at Subiaco, the WACA and Perth Stadium (by 57, 42 and 59 points).
- In the first away game against Fremantle at Subiaco in 1996, the Hawks led by 10 points at three quarter-time, then kicked 7.5 to 0.0 in the last quarter.
- Jason Dunstall’s final game was against Fremantle at Waverley in Round 22 1998.
- Hawthorn has only played Fremantle four times at the MCG – three home games and one Grand Final.
- This will be the seventh time the Hawks and Dockers have met in Round 18, the most of any round (next highest is Round 8 with five).
- In Hawthorn’s two Finals against Fremantle in Perth, the winning team kicked 94, the Dockers 14.10.94 in 2010 and the Hawks 15.4.94 in 2015.
