Last time we met
Adelaide Crows (101) defeated Hawthorn (87) in Round 21, 2025.
The Round 21 match-up between the two sides was a game full of momentum swings, with the first five goals going the way of the Hawks, the next eight to the Crows and then five back Hawthorn’s way.
The starting point of it all was star midfielder Will Day, who in the opening quarter alone, recorded nine disposals and six clearances to help Hawthorn control stoppage and propel them into attack, he finished with 19 disposals and a goal.
Despite the quartet of tall forwards in Jack Gunston, Mitch Lewis, Calsher Dear, and Mabior Chol seeming intimidating to contain, it was the work of smaller forwards and midfielders like Dylan Moore, Jack Ginnivan and Massimo D'Ambrosio that set things up in attack.
Gunston finished with four majors and seven score involvements, while Ginnivan kicked two goals with six score involvements, while seven other Hawks managed individual goals.
D’Ambrosio had a game-high 25 disposals, closely followed by Karl Amon (23), Jarman Impey and Josh Battle (22 each).
