Last time we met
Hawthorn (32) defeated by Adelaide Crows (58) in Week 3, 2024.
In its first-ever match-up against Adelaide, Hawthorn suffered what would be its first and only loss of the 2024 home-and-away season.
A tight start to the game saw the Hawks hold a narrow one-point lead at quarter-time, with Tamara Smith slotting her first-ever AFLW goal.
In the second quarter, the Crows flexed their muscles to keep the Hawks scoreless, before the away side fought back to narrowly win the fourth term, despite the result going Adelaide’s way.
At Thomas Farms Oval, Hawthorn went down by 26 points in the end.
Captain Emily Bates led from the front with 28 disposals, six tackles, five marks and one goal, while Jas Fleming produced one of the best performances of her career to also tally 28 disposals, complemented by five score involvements and four marks.
