Star Hawthorn midfielder Jai Newcombe has finished third in the 2025 Gary Ayres Award following his outstanding Finals Series performances.
The reigning Peter Crimmins Medallist led allcomers following Hawthorn's Preliminary Final loss against Geelong with 18 votes, before Brisbane's Will Ashcroft and Harris Andrews pulled ahead following the Lions' Grand Final victory.
Newcombe averaged 26.7 disposals, 8.3 clearances, and 6.6 score involvements across September, in addition to booting two goals.

Jack Gunston was the next highest Hawk to poll with eight votes following his five-goal haul against the Crows.
