Defender David Mirra has made way for the former Giant’s inclusion.

GM – Football Graham Wright said the news of Scully’s addition to the Hawks team was a true good news story.

“Tom has been a complete professional since arriving at the club in October,” Wright said.

“He has been extremely diligent with his recovery and has led by example in this regard.

“We are excited to see Tom run out for the Hawks for the first time.”

Hawthorn will look to back up its opening round win over Adelaide in his first home game of the season.

The Hawks will take on the Dogs at 3.20pm at the MCG this Sunday.
