 Updated: Tuesday, July 30

Early prognosis

De Goey and Quaynor appear set for multiple weeks on the sidelines after picking up injuries in the loss to Richmond and Roughead and Phillips could be in doubt after a costly loss to Richmond on Friday night. However, Adams, Greenwood and Noble could return against Gold Coast at the MCG on Sunday after being a late withdrawal on Friday night. Aish will undergo surgery on an AC joint on Monday but plans to return before the end of the minor rounds. Sier is unavailable again but Moore probably won't play before the finals. Murphy has finally been cleared to return and Kelly is also being managed conservatively, but Reid faces an uphill battle to play again this season after another setback. Stephenson will be available at finals time while Wells will race the clock to return before season's end. But the campaign seems over for Langdon and veterans Dunn and Beams, despite the latter returning to the club on Monday after taking leave to deal with mental health issues.  - Ben Collins

Taylor's hamstring will see him missing until the finals in a huge blow for the Giants, and he can't afford to have any setbacks over the next month. In better news, Brett Deledio (managed) and Adam Kennedy (elevated heart rate) are both available to play the Swans, with star midfielder Kelly likely to face Hawthorn in Canberra next week. Corr, Cumming and O'Halloran should also be ready to return next week through the NEAFL. - Adam Curley

 Updated: Tuesday, July 30

Early prognosis

Scrimshaw's long-awaited return from the injury he originally suffered against Port Adelaide in round 10 could be this weekend. The ex-Sun needs to get through training and pull up well for that to happen. Last week's late withdrawal O'Brien will also be pushing to reclaim his senior spot. Moore and Morrison are expected to play at VFL level after multi-week absences, but Schoenmakers is at least a fortnight away. - Marc McGowan

 Updated: Monday, July 29

Early prognosis

Daw's fairytale return from serious hip and pelvis injuries is on hold, with a torn hamstring in his fourth VFL match back ending his bid to play in the AFL this year. The prognosis was for a six-week stint out, so his pre-season isn't in danger of being delayed. Tyson's horror first season in blue and white continues after he was edging close to a return last week. Thompson will hope to return to the field against Hawthorn on Friday night after sitting out the loss to West Coast, while Atley will also have to pass a fitness test. Marc McGowan

Early prognosis

The Saints say Hannebery hasn't had a setback after missing training on Tuesday, but instead has come down with a bout of gastro, and won't face Adelaide on Saturday. Ruckman Longer will take a break from the club for the rest of the season, and is out of contract for next year. Sam Rowe didn't play for Sandringham last weekend after having hurt his ankle the week before, and Jack Mayo also missed, but the club says both were merely rested. Armitage has recovered from his concussion a fortnight ago but is taking a break for personal reasons. - Dinny Navaratnam

 Early prognosis

Fox copped a heavy knock late against Geelong and still had some concussion symptoms on Monday, so he will be tested on Thursday. Last week's late withdrawal Florent should be ready to face the Giants. Hayward finally succumbed to his nagging hip issue and had surgery last week, which ended his season, and Cunningham is set for surgery this week and is also done for 2019. Franklin is running again so could be a slim chance to resume against Port Adelaide on the road next week but is more likely to be back against Melbourne in round 22 for game 300. - Adam Curley

Cripps might be the only one unavailable with his return scheduled against Adelaide in round 21. Star midfielder Luke Shuey was on light duties jogging laps but doesn't appear in significant doubt six days out from the Carlton clash at Marvel Stadium. - Travis King
