Hawthorn Football Club will show their support of Tasmanians affected by cancer when they wear a special pink guernsey against GWS this Saturday.

For the second time, Hawthorn will don a pink guernsey in recognition of the club’s annual Pink Ribbon game.

With the alarming statistic in mind that each day nine Tasmanians are diagnosed with cancer, Cancer Council Tasmania is a charity that works to minimise the incidence and impact of cancer on all Tasmanians.

The players’ match worn playing guernseys will be auctioned off following the game with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Cancer Council Tasmania.

As well as the Pink Guernsey, HawksNest are exclusively selling other pink merchandise to support Cancer Council Tasmania, including a beanie and scarf made from Australian Merino Wool.

Ten percent of proceeds from these items will also be donated to Cancer Council Tasmania.

Fans are encouraged to wear a splash of pink to show their support at the game on Saturday.
