In 2011, Hawthorn Football Club will celebrate 10 years of playing home games in Tasmania.
 
To celebrate this milestone, the Club has some exciting activities planned throughout the year, giving all Tasmanians the opportunity to join in the celebrations (see below).
 
Highlighting the 10 years in Tassie celebrations will be our first game at Aurora which will recognise and celebrate the past, present and future of the Club’s partnership with Tasmania.

In another exciting project, a magazine will be produced in a joint venture with the Examiner Newspaper.

The scrapbook-themed magazine will feature Hawthorn news stories, community activities, statistics and many images of the Tasmania experience.

10 years in Tassie - dinner
Join Hawthorn President Jeff Kennett and a select group of Tassie Hawks players to celebrate 10 years in Tassie with great entertainment, fine food and wine, auction and raffles.

10 years in Tassie - celebration game
On Saturday 16 April 2011, Hawthorn and West Coast will go head-to-head at the site of Hawthorn’s first ever home game in Tassie - Aurora Stadium.
 

10 years in Tassie  - Kick Around Tassie Day
All Tassie school children will be encouraged to organise a footy activity with a Hawks theme at their school, i.e. Hawks handball competition, Hawks kick-to-kick, Hawks colouring in competition.
