Upon arriving at the club in 2018, the curse of the No. 36 jumper appeared to have struck the first-year Hawk when he injured his shoulder after two VFL games and missed eight weeks of footy. But he found some form upon his return as a speedy small forward and played a superb finals series for Box Hill, with four goals, 20 possessions and some brilliant contested marking in the preliminary final and three goals in the victorious Grand Final. A pre-season stand-out ahead of season 2019, Moore made his debut in Round 3 against North Melbourne, finishing the season with seven senior games and some valuable experience under his belt.
