Stratton's 2019 put him in the history books when he was named as Hawthorn's captain, leading the team out across 19 games with a record of 11 wins and eight losses. Despite this exciting aspect to his year, Stratton's 2019 will likely be remembered for his mid-year suspension after he was found guilty of pinching Essendon's Orazio Fantasia. Nonetheless, the skipper ensured the season finish on a high, leading the Hawks out to win six of their last eight outings, hopefully a glimpse of what the 2020 season will look like with the 31-year-old at the helm for a second year.
