AFL: Depleted Dees scrape home against improving Hawks
Melbourne defeated Hawthorn by 10 points on Saturday night after recovering from a from a quarter-time deficit for the first time since Round 19 last year.
The Hawks stayed within touching distance of the defending champions for four quarters on the back of standout performances from Jaeger O'Meara and James Sicily, as well as Dylan Moore and Finn Maginness who put the clamps on star wingman Ed Langdon.
But it just wasn't enough to stop the Demons who just keep on keeping on.

VFL: Box Hill unlucky in close contest
The Box Hill Hawks hosted the undefeated Casey Demons on Sunday afternoon, falling to the competition pacesetters by seven points.
The result moves the Hawks to two-and-three on the season and, having come up two points shy of Collingwood in Round 1, is the club’s second single digit loss in the opening six rounds.
Although the Demons controlled proceedings for the most part to lead at every change, a committed and spirited Box Hill outfit proved impossible to shake, digging in to keep the contest alive and in the balance until the final siren.

The VFLW Hawks dominated this weekend's game with a 39-point victory over Casey at Box Hill City Oval.
The weather performed well for this highly anticipated match up, and so did the girls, securing their eight victory in a row as they cement their third place on the ladder.

VWFL: Hawks fall to dominant Tigers
Hawthorn's senior wheelchair team faced a disappointing loss on the weekend going down to the Tigers by 155-points.
The Hawks scored just four goals to the Tigers 29 in the Round 3 meeting.
