Last time we met

Hawthorn (100) defeated Brisbane Lions (75) in Round 11, 2024.

Hawthorn held off Brisbane in the fourth quarter to secure a gutsy 25-point win at Marvel Stadium.

The Hawks led by six goals in the first half, but the Lions dominated the third term. The Hawks showed great maturity, absorbing Brisbane’s surge and controlling the play in the final quarter to secure the win.

Jack Gunston was one of the most influential players on the ground, kicking a game-high four goals from seven marks.

Hawthorn skipper James Sicily made a strong return to help guide his side home, finishing with 26 disposals, eight intercepts and eight marks.

Mabior Chol kicked three majors for the day, while young gun Calsher Dear slotted two.

Karl Amon had an equal game-high 29 disposals and was among the Hawks best, along with Gunston, Sicily, James Worpel, Will Day, Massimo D’Ambrosio and Sam Frost.

What's On

As mentioned above, Hawthorn will wear the gold version of its 2025 Indigenous Guernsey for Sir Doug Nicholls Round. There will also be a Welcome to Country ceremony on the ground before the first bounce.

As with every home game this season, a Hawthorn great will partake in the Centennial Kick Off as part of the club's 100-Year celebrations - Round 11 will see one of the brown and gold's greatest forwards Mark Williams, do the honours.

At quarter-time there'll be a Superhero Dash for Cash, at half-time the stars of the future will take to the field with AFL Auskickers playing mini matches across the field, at three-quarter time it's the KFC FLG Challenge and post-match there will be Nature Valley giveaways around the ground.
