Hawthorn is excited to be supporting leading video game creator, 2K Games and the release of its brand-new offering, ‘Borderlands 4’. 

As part of the partnership, 2K Games will be front and centre at the final two Hawks’ home MCG games this AFL season, integrating the ‘Borderlands 4 Vault’ and key game characters for all members and fans accessing the activation. 

Digital marketing and player content will also be a key focus of the partnership, which is set to elevate the hype around ‘Borderlands 4’ ahead of its release on 12 September. 

‘Borderlands 4’ is set on a new planet called Kairos, with players able to choose from four new ‘Vault Hunters’ to fight a powerful enemy known as the Timekeeper. 

Hawthorn Chief Commercial Officer Jo Gilbert said: 

“With a vibrant young Hawthorn supporter base, we pride ourselves on continuing to innovate as a club, which is why we are excited to partner with 2K Games ahead of the release of ‘Borderlands 4’. 

“We encourage Hawks members and fans to get involved in 2K Games’ activations on the MCG concourse at our remaining home games ahead of Borderlands 4’s highly anticipated release in September.”
