Young duo Henry Hustwaite and Noah Mraz will face fitness tests to determine their availability ahead of Box Hill's clash with Casey on Easter Sunday.

Hustwaite is closing in on a full recovery from an ankle injury, while Mraz will aim to face the Demons after a minor quad complaint kept him out of Friday night's loss to Geelong's VFL side.

High Performance Manager Peter Burge provided an update on the pair, as well as James Blanck and Will Day.

Henry Hustwaite - Ankle (Test)

"Henry’s been back in training now, and over the weekend and fully trained today. We have one more main training session this Friday, which he will complete and be available for this weekend."

Noah Mraz - Quad (Test)

"Not a significant issue, but one that popped up after training last week on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, he presented with a sore quad, and it’s his kicking leg as well. So, given it was two days before the game, it hadn’t obviously recovered from the previous game, and it sort of reared its head the next day after main training. So he had some soreness, and we made the decision not to play him last week. But he is a test for this week. He’s kicked today, he’s running fast. I’d anticipate he’d be available for this weekend."

James Blanck - Groin (2 weeks)

"He has resumed full training this week, which is fantastic. So we’ve listed him as two weeks. He’ll actually be playing in a VFL scrimmage, not this weekend, but the one after. The VFL have a bye, and we’ve organised a short practice game scrimmage with St Kilda. He’ll play some minutes in that as a final part of his training and return to play, but would be available for the official home and away VFL game the following week. So that’s fantastic news, and he’s back into the program."

Will Day - Shoulder (2 months)

"Progressing really well. He’s no contact at the moment. There’s a timeframe that we have to go through and a process that we have to go through with his strength and return to contact and function through a rehab phase. But the non-contact side of things, he’s able to do with the main group. So on days where we have some non-contact drills, he does all of those, and he does his more intro contact separate from the group, which will start in a couple of weeks from now. He’s doing ground balls and other drills with a bump bag, albeit light at the moment, on his other side. But the side he’s had surgery on is progressing really well. And also from a longer-term foot point of view, that’s looking fantastic as well. We do surveillance scanning on that as well, but it’s looking really, really good. He has a long preparation now. We’ll be more exact with his return to play timeline over the next couple of weeks, but he’s going to have quite a bit of training behind him and quite a bit of football behind him as well by the time that happens."
