Hawthorn has made two changes to its Round 14 side set to face Sydney, with former captain Jarryd Roughead recalled to the senior line up.

Roughead was dropped ahead of Round 8, playing five games for Box Hill in the following weeks.

According to GM-Football Graham Wright, the veteran Hawk has thoroughly earned his recall.

“Despite his disappointment in being omitted, Roughy has responded extremely well and fought hard to earn back his place in the senior side.

“He has been a solid contributor at Box Hill over the last five weeks, averaging 15 disposals and five marks, as well as providing great leadership to his younger teammates.

“We’re confident Roughy can come in and perform his role.”

Young Hawk Harry Morrison joins Roughead as the Hawks’ two inclusions, while Ben Stratton (suspended) and James Cousins (omitted) make way.

The Hawks will face Sydney under Friday night lights at the SCG, as both teams look to keep their seasons alive.
