Luke Breust’s favourite number is 29.

Well, we don’t know this to be fact, but it should be.

Breust is celebrating his 29th birthday today.

But the number has so much more relevance to our back-to-back leading goalkicker who arrived at the club in the 2009 rookie draft.

A three-time premiership player and two-time All Australian, Breust has had many memorable moments in the brown and gold.

One piece of history he just may hold forever was his streak of 29 consecutive goals in 2014 - a historic run drew even with Tony Lockett’s identical effort in 1995.

The straight shooting spanned between Rounds 5 and 17 of that season which included a Round 7 performance that saw him record his still-standing career-high disposal tally – 29 disposals!

And one more to add to the bank, Breust’s 207 games for the Hawks sees him ranked 29th in the club’s all-time games tally.

Mind blown!
