Hawthorn has made two changes to its side ahead of the Round 6 clash with Adelaide on ANZAC Day this Sunday.

Midfielder James Cousins will make his first appearance of the season after a string of outstanding performances with Box Hill.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a strong finish to 2020, averaging 19.5 disposals, 4.8 inside 50s and 3.5 clearances over the last six games.

Cousins comes into the side replacing forward Conor Nash.

Mitch Lewis also returns after a one-week suspension, with midfielder Dan Howe the second omission for the Hawks.

This Sunday will mark the first time the Hawks have contested the match on the 25th of April since 2010, in what is sure to be a special occasion for the club and its Tasmanian crowd.

Hawthorn will again contest the Alec Campbell Cup, named in honour of Alec Campbell – the final surviving Gallipoli veteran who was born and raised in Launceston and passed away in 2002, aged 103.

Hawthorn and Adelaide will honour ANZAC Day traditions, with a rendition of the last post to be played at UTAS Stadium, followed by a moment of silence to remember the courage and sacrifice made by the Australian and New Zealand armed forces.

Calling UTAS Stadium a 'happy hunting ground' for Hawthorn over the years is putting it lightly. We take a look back at just how great our 21 years in Tassie have been.
