Steph Binder
Hawthorn appointed Steph Binder as its Backline Coach ahead of the 2024 AFLW season.
Prior to joining the brown and gold, she served as a Development Coach with Collingwood’s AFLW team.
In the state league ranks, Binder led North Melbourne’s VFLW side as Senior Coach for two seasons after previously playing in the league for the Southern Saints.
Binder has also played a key role in leading the next generation of AFLW stars, having served as an assistant coach with both the Vic Country and Dandenong Stingrays Under-19 sides.
The emerging coach was the winner of the 2024 AFLCA Women's Coaching Pathway Scholarship, enabling her to fast-track her coaching development.
She has since been rewarded with an assistant coach role in the VFLW State League Game earlier this year.
Having overseen the likes of All Australian squad members Tilly Lucas-Rodd and Jenna Richardson in 2024, Binder is primed for a big 2025 season in the backline.
