Hawthorn is de-lighted to welcome its new lighting and LED signage partner VALO to the brown and gold family.

The partnership will see VALO support both the AFL and AFLW programs, with VALO branding on both the teams’ club polos, jumpers and jacket sleeves, amongst a range of other entitlements.

The deal signifies another important step on the cusp of Hawthorn’s entry into the AFLW with another partner agreeing to support both the club’s men’s and women’s programs.

Originating in South Australia, VALO is an Australian advanced technology company with its core in high-performance LED lighting. VALO is committed to accelerating disruptive and sustainable technologies, supported by significant investment in fully automated printed circuit-board (PCB) assembly.

Hawthorn CEO Justin Reeves said the club was pleased to confirm the new deal.

“We’re really excited to be launching this partnership,” Reeves said.

“Hawthorn and VALO both share similarly strong visions for their respective futures and the way in which we can both have a positive impact on our communities.”

VALO CEO and Founder Aaron Hickmann said it was an exciting development for his organisation.

“We are proud to be an official AFL Partner and inaugural AFLW Partner for the Hawthorn Football Club,” Hickmann said.

"Both VALO and the Hawks are forward-thinking, committed to sustainability and have a strong ethos of inspiration and performance.

"Quality stadia lighting is crucial in elite sport, and we're looking forward to profiling our Australian product.”

VALO was founded in 2012 and has completed a range of lighting and visual display installs across the country. VALO is transitioning from importer to manufacturer and is planning to export Australian designed and made LED lighting products worldwide, with their Zenith Gen-V, VALO’s flagship stadium light to be released mid-2022.
