Last time we met

Hawthorn (66) defeated Carlton (38) in Week 1, 2024.

Hawthorn kicked off their 2024 season in style, securing a 38-point victory over the Blues at Kinetic Stadium.

Irish duo Aileen Gilroy (16 disposals, two goals) and Áine McDonagh (12 disposals, two goals) were dangerous in attack all day for Hawthorn, while recruit Eliza West (28 disposals, 10 tackles) proved why she is so respected by her teammates. And fellow recruit Casey Sherrif also kicked two goals for the Hawks.

The Hawks were relentless in their pressure, winning the tackle count 72-59 and would efficiently transition to attack once the ball was won.

What's On

There's plenty happening for the Hawks first home game of the season. To start proceedings, there'll be an on-ground Welcome to Country with food trucks, seating on the hill, and DJ Casey Sherriff's tunes on the pre-game playlist. To get you into the Hawthorn spirit, there'll be a merch stand for all your apparel needs, as well as a face painter both located in the function centre.

There'll be a KFC food drop and Nature Valley kicking competition at three-quarter time, as well as Nature Valley bar giveaways post-match.

An Inclusion Project sensory space will be located in the FFC Hall of Fame room near gate one for anyone who may need it.
