Hawthorn will farewell Jarryd Roughead after he accepted a promotion with the Adelaide Crows as List Manager.

Roughead returned to the Club ahead of the 2024 season, joining the list management and recruiting team as Player Acquisition Manager – Trade and Free Agency.

During the past two years, Roughead played a role in attracting players via trade and free agency, as part of the broader list management and recruiting strategy.

Executive General Manager of Football Rob McCartney said:

“While we farewell Jarryd, as a Club, seeing one of our own, particularly one of our former players take the next step in his career, is something we should celebrate.

“I’d like to acknowledge Jarryd’s transparency and respect throughout the process, we’ve been in constant dialogue about this exciting career opportunity for him.

“Jarryd remains an important part of the Hawthorn fabric, and we wish him well in his new role.”
