Hawthorn will blood two new faces in the traditional blockbuster clash against Geelong at the MCG on Easter Monday.

As announced earlier in the week, SSP (Supplemental Selection Period) Pick Flynn Perez will make his Club debut, while Jack Dalton comes in for his very first AFL game.

Perez officially joined the Hawks last month after impressing at the Kennedy Community Centre during pre-season.

The 24-year-old also suited up for 24 games across four seasons for North Melbourne.

“For Flynn to be given another opportunity at AFL level is very exciting for him, his family and friends, and everyone at Hawthorn,” Hawthorn Executive General Manager of Football Rob McCartney said.

“Having been with us for most of the pre-season, Flynn has demonstrated his readiness for the highest level with his competitiveness and strong ball use from half back.

“It will be a special moment to cherish when he pulls on the brown and gold guernsey for the first time on Easter Monday.”

On his 19th birthday today, Dalton earned a dream debut after being selected by the Hawks with Pick 34 in last year’s national draft.

The teenager impressed across the pre-season with his prolific ball-winning ability and endurance, proven by amassing 27 disposals, seven marks and one goal in his Box Hill debut just a few weeks ago.

“For Jack to realise his AFL dream and don the brown and gold guernsey for the first time on Easter Monday will be a special moment,” McCartney said.

“Since being drafted just a few months ago, Jack has shown a real appetite for hard work and has impressed with his strong running power and desire to compete.

“We’re delighted to see Jack earn his first opportunity at AFL level and are confident he can play his role on Easter Monday.”

The young duo will replace experienced defender Karl Amon and emerging midfielder Cam Mackenzie in Monday’s side, with the pair missing the match through injury.

In other milestone news, Jarman Impey has been selected to play his 150th Hawthorn game, Dylan Moore will suit up for his 100th consecutive match, while Sam Mitchell is set to coach the Hawks for the 100th time.

Hawks members and fans are encouraged to wear a tinge of purple along with their brown and gold at the ‘G, as the Hawks and Cats team up to support the fifth annual Dare To Hope match, raising awareness and crucial funds to better treat pancreatic cancer and recognise the legacy of Premiership Player and Norm Smith Medallist, Paul Dear.
