Hawthorn has confirmed three inclusions into the team that will face GWS at the MCG on Sunday.

Denver Grainger-Barras will make his first appearance at AFL level, while James Worpel and Kyle Hartigan will also return to the side.

Howzat! Denver completes Hawks hat-trick of debutants!

Having injured his ankle at training on Thursday, Jarman Impey will miss this weekend's hit-out while James Cousins and last week's medical sub Conor Nash have also been left out.

Shaun Burgoyne is also a listed out, although the club can confirm the 38-year-old will be the side's medical sub on Sunday.

"Knowing we have a six-day break between this game and our Round 17 match-up with Port Adelaide has meant we've decided to make Shaun our medical sub against the Giants on Sunday," Head of Football Rob McCartney.

"This is obviously part of his management plan in order to have him ready for what will be his 400th game next weekend.

"It's been a joint decision between Shaun, our medical staff and match committee."

The Hawks will wear the John Kennedy Snr Legends Guernsey in recognition of the one year anniversary of his passing.
