Hawthorn trio Conor Nash, Tom Barrass and Jack Gunston have been added to the Hawks' injury list following the side's 15-point loss to Fremantle in Round 9 at Optus Stadium.

Nash was placed into concussion protocols after Thursday's game, Barrass sustained a hamstring injury during the second quarter, and Gunston reported foot soreness towards the end of the match.

High Performance Manager Peter Burge provided an update on the trio below, as well as James Blanck, Calsher Dear, Mabior Chol and Will Day.

James Blanck - Shoulder (Test)

"Blancky has resumed full training and has put in some great work over the last two weeks. He'll be playing in the VFL this weekend. We will limit his game time slightly, given he only returned three weeks ago, so we're going to play the same game time—it's around three-quarters of the game—and we'll progress from there."

Calsher Dear - Adductor (Test)

"He's resumed training this week. He'll fully train on Thursday, and then we'll make a final call for selection on the weekend, but it's looking really good."

Mabior Chol - Hamstring (1 week)

"He's fully training. Just given we've got the game Saturday and then we've got a five-day turnaround into the Adelaide game, we've had to make some calculated decisions with returns, and we're aiming for next week for his return."

Will Day - Shoulder (1 week)

"He's been fully training and getting more sessions under his belt. He's playing football next week, which we're all looking forward to, but that would be through the VFL."

Conor Nash - Concussion (1 week)

"It was a delayed concussion. Sometimes symptoms don't appear until post-game, and the players these days and our medical team in particular, we're really diligent with the health and wellbeing of players. He reported some symptoms after the game and has been put into concussion protocols, so he will miss the game this Saturday. And then he'll be a test for the Adelaide game—the Round 11 game—but he's tracking well now and, providing he continues on this path, he would be a chance of playing in that game."

Tom Barrass - Hamstring (3-5 weeks)

"Yeah, unfortunately, just an incident in the second quarter of that game. He came to the bench and reported he'd felt his hamstring go, and subsequently scans showed he has a hamstring strain. We've reported it as a three-to-five-week injury, which would either be the game before the bye against the Western Bulldogs or the game after the bye against Gold Coast. But that'll depend on how he progresses over the next seven days. But today he was outside and starting to move, which is a good sign. We'll update everyone as the weeks and the days go on, and he progresses through that rehab."

Jack Gunston - Foot (TBC)

"Jack came to the bench late in the game, reporting some foot pain. He subsequently went back out and finished the game. We've had some scans since, and it shows he's got a mid-foot sprain. There are varying degrees of what a mid-foot sprain is—this is certainly not a bad one—and he's improved quite significantly in the last 24 to 48 hours. In terms of the game this week, we're still gathering information, and we just need a couple more days to see how quickly that improves. We'll make a final decision on Thursday as to what that looks like, and then we'll let everyone know."
