The Box Hill Hawks recorded a fifth win in succession on Saturday afternoon, accounting for the visiting Gold Coast Suns at Box Hill City Oval.

The win moves the brown and gold to seven-and-two on the season.

Andy Otten has given his review of each AFL-listed player below.

Does Denver come straight back in?

Josh Morris (22 disposals, 6 marks, 2 tackles)

"He played his first game down back after we'd made the switch during the week. He was on of our best players on the ground, I think he had a season-high for possession numbers and he was able to take four intercept marks as well so he had a great influence on the game in a new position."

Michael Hartley (18 disposals, 6 marks, 2 tackles, 1 goal)

"Harts is the barometer for our side. He had a really good defensively sound game. That's when he is playing his best footy for us. He controlled the area with his communication and really helped out young Josh Morris in defence. His big highlight was when he kicked a long goal, which he will say was from about 75m out!"

James Cousins (17 disposals, 4 marks, 5 tackles)

"Cuzzy came back in for his first game at the level in a while. In terms of his standards, he probably didn't have the impact he would have liked - it seemed to take him a while to get into the groove of VFL footy again. But I'm sure he will bounce back from that game. He was still able to impact the game though and his effort was still at a really high standard."

Tyler Brockman (16 disposals, 5 marks, 4 tackles, 2 goals)

"Brocky probably had his best game from his last three games. We saw his speed and his crumbing really come to the fore, his ability to read the ball in the air and then crumb it on the ground was really good. He kicked a couple of nice goals and gave off a couple as well, so he played a really selfless game."

Keegan Brooksby (14 disposals, 1 mark, 2 tackles, 13 hit-outs)

"The Mr Reliable for our team, he played up forward and in the ruck. He does a great job, helping our young guys and teaching them how to set-up and what's needed. He took young Seamus under his wing on the weekend, so he often goes out of his way to help others while still being ale to perform himself. He is a smart footballer. It was another really solid game from him."

Jackson Callow (13 disposals, 6 marks, 1 tackle, 1 goal)

"His workrate was phenomenal again. We get his GPS numbers each week and they're always very impressive for a key forward. He's trying to form a good, potent partnership with Jeka and Kegs up there. But they're starting to work nicely together. He took a couple of really nice contested marks which is what we want to see from him. He is going to work on his field kicking this week as he had a couple of chances to put us in a really dangerous position at times but probably missed those opportunities."

Ned Reeves (13 disposals, 2 marks, 38 hit-outs, 1 goal)

"Ned dominated the ruck contest. It didn't correlate to clearance domination though unfortunately, but he is still working on his connection with the different players that come in each week. He took a couple of nice grabs and was able to kick a goal as well off a nice contested mark."

Jack Saunders (13 disposals, 4 marks, 3 tackles)

"Jack played on the wing and I think we're starting to see his run and carry really come to the fore. He is getting a lot more comfortable with ball in hand, taking the game on and using his attributes. He is still building with his consistency of performance but we're definitely on the right path with him."

Connor Downie (11 disposals, 2 marks, 1 tackle)

"Connor had one of his stronger four-quarter performances for quite some time. We saw him at half-back in the second half, using his left-foot kick and showing off his power with ball in hand."

Emerson Jeka (10 disposals, 6 marks, 2 tackles)

"Jeka could have had a really dominant game. I think early on he struggled to get into it and I think they put a bit of time into him. He is going to start drawing this kind of attention because he has been such a dominant player. He was able to turn this around in the second half, and was still able to have seven shots on goal - but sadly he couldn't find the big sticks with any of them! He's obviously doing a lot right at the moment and he is usually a beautiful kick of the footy so I'm sure he will turn that kicking around quickly."

Harry Pepper (10 disposals, 3 marks, 4 tackles, 1 goal)

"Pepper played up forward this week, with him and Josh Morris doing a bit of a swap. His endeavour to chase and compete this week was much improved which was good to see. He works his way into the game nicely. He is still finding his way as a forward and working out ways to get himself into the game. But what we can see is that his effort is at a really high level. He is progressing as a young player in the system."

Seamus Mitchell (3 disposals, 2 marks, 6 tackles)

"Seamus had his first game for the club and it was great to see him out there. His hunt and desire for the contest was really good. His ability to use his speed to chase and tackle was clear. He was able to take a courageous mark early on in the game to get a shot on goal which he unfortunately missed. He will be better for the run and, with increased fitness, I'm sure he will see his output increase."
